Match.com, the world's number one dating and relationship site, today launched an innovative new service called matchTalkâ„¢. Available exclusively on Match.com, matchTalkâ„¢ allows members to connect on any telephone, without sharing their personal contact information until they're ready.
"We set the standard more than a decade ago, when Match.com built a new way to make personal connections through our proprietary, private, double- blind e-mail system," said Jim Safka, CEO of Match.com. "matchTalkâ„¢ takes the next step forward, enabling live and anonymous calling between our members."
When Match.com members choose the "talk to him or her" option, they are moments away from connecting over the telephone without ever giving out their phone numbers.
* Once a member makes a request to talk and the recipient accepts, both are given a unique number that allows them to call each other at anytime without revealing their actual numbers. * The shared line is unique to the couple and can be disabled at any time if one of the participants is no longer interested in continuing conversations. * Caller ID will display the matchTalkâ„¢ number, not a personal phone number.
In addition to helping members control their personal interactions, matchTalkâ„¢ plays an important role in helping people determine whether they have chemistry with someone.
In fact, a majority of people surveyed by Match.com said they knew within 10 minutes of talking on the phone if they had chemistry with an individual, without ever meeting face-to-face(1). And, 84% of matchTalkâ„¢ test users said that the sound of someone's voice helped them determine if they wanted to meet in person(2).
matchTalkâ„¢ is free for Match.com subscribers, for a limited time. To learn more, visit http://www.match.com/ .
