Match.com Names Takahito Uezono as President of Japan Operations

DALLAS, Sep. 24 – Match.com announced today that Takahito Uezono has been named president and country manager of Match.com Japan K.K. In this role, Uezono is responsible for all Match.com business and operational activities in Japan and will report to Carl Leubsdorf, Jr., senior vice president, Asia-Pacific operations. Uezono previously led the Japan business operations for an international Internet community site.

Uezono arrives at Match.com Japan K.K. via National Westminster Banking Group, Knight-Ridder Financial News, Hakuhodo, J. Walter Thompson (JWT), DoubleClick and Vodafone. Born in Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic, Uezono holds an undergraduate degree in political science from Sophia University, Tokyo. He lives in Ichikawa, Chiba.
